坐姿功能性伸手向前測試於胸髓損傷患者之同時效度研究
Abstract
”Training of sitting balance is one of the major treatment programs for rehabilitation of complete thoracic spinal cord injured patients. In the literature, there are only a few objective and quantitative tests for sitting balance, and they are not appropriate for patients with spinal cord injury. The Functional Reach Test was modified by Lynch and colleagues to measure sitting balance. The study of the Modi-fied Functional Reach Test demonstrated that it provides reliable measurement of sitting balance in patients with spinal cord injury. The purpose of this study was to investigate the concurrent validity of the Modified Functional Reach Test in the patients with paraplegia.Thirty subjects with paraplegia after complete thoracic spinal cord injury participated in this study. There were 27 males and 3 females, their mean age was 33.97 years and the duration of their disability was ranged from 1.2 years to 20 years. After recording the background information and assessing the injury level, the subjects were measured by the Modified Functional Reach Test, the Modified Barthel Index and performed the functional activities including transfer, upper body dressing/undressing and lower body dressing/undressing. Correlation analysis was used to determine the correlation between the measurement of the Modified Functional Reach Test and the other variables. The results revealed that the measurement of the Modified Functional Reach Test was only cor-related with the injury level (r=0.413, p<0.05) and the time to complete lower body dressing/undressing (r=-0.409, p<0.05). The Modified Functional Reach Test appears to be able to measure difference among levels of injury, but the concurrent validity of the Modified Functional Reach Test was not established when using the Modified Barthel Index as the comparison standard.
