The most frequent back pain pattern was soreness. As for location of back pain, low back took the most part, the buttock the second and the thigh the least. Related factors of backache included age, weeks of pregnancy, weight gained during pregnancy, previous symptoms of backache during menstruation, habit of smoking and a history of low back pain before pregnancy. Among these factors, a history of low back pain before pregnancy affected the most (P < 0.0001). Body height, times of pregnancy, taking oral-contraceptives, education, habit of taking exercise were not related. As for the factor of working environment, classification of women's occupations, working postures, work load, satisfaction of work, working hours per day and working days per week did not show related.
