背架對下背痛患者背肌肌電活動之影響:初步研究
Abstract
Lumbar spinal bracing is one of the methods used for management of low back pain. The effect of spinal brace to the paraspinal myoelectric activity is not well investigated. Most of the papers published concerned about the myoelectric activity of normal subject wearing spinal brace. We carry out this study to evaluate the effect of lumbar spinal brace on the paraspinal muscle activity of low back pain patient.Totally 10 mates were collected to proceed the program. Six of them were backache patinets, and the other 4 were normal subjects without history of low back pain .There is no significant difference in their age, height and body weight .We use surface electromyography to study the muscular activity of paraspinal muscles. In many situation, the myoelectric activity would be decreased on brace wearing. There is still about one sixth of the data collected from backache patients showing twice higher myoelectric activities on brace wearing. And only about one thirtieth of the data collected from normal subjects reveal twice higher myoelectric activity on brace wearing. Spinal brace may have the effect of truck support, still it could increase paraspinal muscular activities of backache patients on various situations . We should take this into consideration when prescribing spinal braces for backache patients to prevent further aggravation of back pain.
